| Farm Power |
| Farm Power is a Skagit County, Washington company founded to protect farmers and farmland by producing energy from cow manure. A proven, commercialized technology called a manure digester is used to harvest methane gas from manure. Methane is burned to create electricity, while sending the processed manure back to the farmers as an organic fertilizer free of pathogens and odor. |

| Farmland Legacy Program |
| The Farmland Legacy Program preserves farmland by purchasing development rights from willing sellers of land zoned Agriculture-NRL and then limiting use of the property to agriculture. The Program pays the landowner for these restrictions on the property. The seller continues to hold title to the land and can sell, lease or bequeath the property to whomever they choose. |

LocalHarvest.org is a national, free, online directory of farmers markets, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, farm stands, U-pick farms, and farm events. Founded in 1999, LocalHarvest now lists approximately 6,000 local food sources throughout the United States, and helps more than 2,000 people per day find locally-grown food.
