| The Economic Development Association of Skagit County is a local agency that assists businesses in a number of ways; by holding seminars and workshops, providing one-on-one counseling, hosting networking events, and providing demographics and information. EDASC works with companies that are relocating or expanding to Skagit County; local companies that are expanding or starting up; or companies that are working to retain jobs. |

| Farmland Legacy Program |
| The Farmland Legacy Program preserves farmland by purchasing development rights from willing sellers of land zoned Agriculture-NRL and then limiting use of the property to agriculture. The Program pays the landowner for these restrictions on the property. The seller continues to hold title to the land and can sell, lease or bequeath the property to whomever they choose. |

| Skagit Food Share Alliance |
| "Supporting local agriculture; ending local hunger" are the goals of the Skagit Food Share Alliance, a collaborative effort among Skagit County Community Action Agency, North Coast Credit Union and Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland. The program works to provide local farmers with up front capital to produce fruits, vegetables and other nutritious foods. Farmers receive a boost to their markets, while food banks receive fresh, locally grown, nutritious food for the hungry people they serve. |
